"Tango is the brain sending a message to your feet through your heart"
Juan Bruno, Argentine tango master

Born in Buenos Aires, tango inspires passion in even the most tepid personalities. Tango is an art form and a way of life in the Argentine capital, where the gorgeous Porteños - as the locals are called - are keeping its fire burning brightly in countless milongas, the tango halls where its melodic wails fill the air every night.
To learn tango in the true Porteño way, one must be in Buenos Aires. With that in mind, we engaged the help of an internationally acclaimed Argentine dancer, who helped us design Tango in Buenos Aires, an eight-day long tour of the Argentine capital focusing on its tango culture and on the unique lifestyle of this cosmopolitan city.
This tour group is limited to eight adults and will stay in a luxury five-star hotel in the elegant Recoleta, an exclusive shopping and residential neighborhood near popular restaurants and stately mansions. For your evenings we have selected authentic tango shows and milonga halls, where local tango aficionados will help you learn its moves in the Porteño way. By the end of the week, you will know tango life as only locals do.
You will also discover a sprawling metropolis of 48 distinct barrios (neighborhoods) with three million people, a thriving artistic scene, great restaurants - known for the best beef in the world - and the finest antique markets anywhere. Known as 'the Paris of South America' for its European polish, Buenos Aires is inexpensive, gorgeous and not overrun with tourists; it's also home to the liveliest night scene south of the Equator.
We visit Buenos Aires once a year, in November, springtime in Argentina. But if your schedule doesn't match our tour date, or if you prefer an itinerary tailored to you interests and tastes, please see Bespoke tours of Buenos Aires for details.
Whichever way you decide to go, we are sure this sultry city and its tango will seduce you.
